Ruby Higgins

She obtained her formal Education at Fellowship All age school. She was married to Cecil Thompson in 1957, and moved to live in Snow Hill. Later they relocated to St. Margaret’s Bay where we all grew up. That union produced 10 children, 6 girls and 4 boys namely; Whillelminav (Vernice), Irene (Junie), Lasceles (Giddy), Verona (Lenna), Fitzroy, Irvine, Rosie, Maxine, Yvonne, Audley.

She later remarried Harold Higgins and had Tenesha and Clayton. She migrated to New York then settled in Florida, where she lived until her passig.

She is survived by her husband Harold, 11 children, 14 grand , 7 great grand, 3 sons in law, 3 daughters in law, 4 siblings, beloved nieces and nephews and other extended family members and friends.

She left this world on 9/11. We love and miss you mama but realize you’ve transitioned to a better place where sickness is no more.

A visitation will occur Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Genesis Christian Church, 1490 Banks Rd, Margate, FL 33063. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Genesis Christian Church, 1490 Banks Rd, Margate, FL 33063. A committal service will occur Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM at Bailey Memorial, 7801 Bailey Rd, North Lauderdale, FL 33068.
