Ruth Einhorn Plaks, October 24, 1920-July 7, 2018. Ruth was the loving wife of David Einhorn for forty-three years until David’s death in 1988, the adoring mother of Robert and Alan Einhorn of Washington, D.C., and Brookline, Mass., respectively, adoring mother-in-law of Jessica Einhorn and of Suzanne Salamon, adoring grandmother of Alexandra Einhorn Smith of Brookline and David Einhorn of Los Angeles (and of Alexandra’s husband, Richie Smith), and loving big sister to Paula Owens, aunt to Paula’s daughter Ellen Hendrickx, and grand-aunt to Ellen’s daughter Kaitlyn. Several years after her husband David’s death, Ruth met and married Nat Plaks and became a loving and integral part of Nat’s family, including his children, Andy and Karen, and their respective children, Jason and Eric, and Betsy; and after Nat Plaks’ passing, at age 93, Ruth was lucky enough to meet and form a truly special, warm and loving bond with Nat Gozansky (and Nat’s daughter Linda and family), then 97, for three wonderful years until Nat’s death, in 2016, at 100. Ruth will be missed by all of her extended families and the others she touched.
