Steven was a wonderful father and beyond a proud and loving Papa. His grandchildren were his whole life. Even though he only knew his newest grandson Jacob for a short while, he always would repeat what we told him about Jacob and what he was doing and saying. He would always smile when he saw his grandkids. He was the reason we(Erica and Corky) went forward with a 2nd child. He said "if anyone can do it, you guys can". Jackie gave him more joy then anything. He adored spoiling her and spending time with her. He always had a sparkle in his eyes and voice when talking to her.
He was an avid animal rights activist and adored all his pets. I truly believe he liked animals more then people. He would do anything for his animals, even if it meant he would have to do without.
He was the biggest Boston Red Sox fan and collector; Ted Williams was his idol. He enjoyed the movies and sometimes would go several times a week. He used to even sign Erica out of school early when she was younger and they would go out to lunch and the movies. (Mom didn't know this).
He always enjoyed having a nice car with all the bells and whistles. He liked his toys. He would sometimes get a new car every year. He was a sales manager most of his life and also owned a bagel restaurant in Sunrise for a short while.
He loved going on cruises and Disney. Most of all, he enjoyed company. He hated being alone. Up until about six months ago, he was living with and being cared for by his son Andrew, and after that, moved to be closer to his daughter Erica and the grandkids he adored. Besides his son, daughter, son-in-law and grandkids he was often visited during the last several months of his life by old friends Mike W, Paul G and family, Judy, Richie, and (cousin)Nadine. We will all be eternally grateful for these visits.
Good Company was the best thing I could of ever asked for. For those of you that have been there to support our family for some time now, we love you and thank you.
