I always respected and admired Alice from when I met her in 1979. I’ll never forget her showing up at my fathers funeral at the military cemetery in Sherwood. It was the last time I saw her and we hugged. Everyone who met her says the same thing, she was a sweet person. We all here in the Parish, Zahorec and Holleman family give our sincere condolences  to everyone affected by her passing. I know she was deeply religious and spiritual, so everyone has our thoughts and prayers.  Rest in peace and thank you for being a great mother and friend to many.

Although I don’t live in Arkansas, every time I visited my mom from college, Alice was always so sweet and welcoming. She always asked about how I was doing, and was so good about communicating and supporting everyone in the neighborhood. Carly was such a sweet girl to go on walks with, and I was always so happy to see how much joy my mom experienced through the friendship with Alice and Carly. I know losing someone is hard, but she was able to live independently in her home with her sweet dog until the end. She was able to be herself and be around her people until the end. I am thankful that she didn’t have to be placed in a home or be hospitalized for a long time. Alice was such a sweet spirit, and I wish I was able to share more conversations with her. Even all the way from West Texas, I was still able to see and feel all of the light she brought to the world. I can’t wait to give her a hug one day, and quite frankly, I’m a little jealous that she gets to be in our Father’s presence and hanging out with Him right now! My love and support goes to her family, and I pray that everyone can feel the Lord’s presence now more than ever.

As a child I remember holiday get togethers with many neighbors (of coursed I was whisked away) 😁  I know they and Gene are there to welcome you in Heaven. As an older adult,  when  I  moved back visiting and laughing. I will always treasure the times that we had together.  We will miss you every day, but know you are at peace and can see you smiling down on us.

Thank you for the movie dates and the Cracker Barrel dates we went on!! 

You will be missed so much.

Mother’s Day 2024 you invited my mama and me to your church for service!

Thank you for sharing your time with Carly with me. After losing my dog, I enjoyed getting to borrow Carly for walks.

Alice was a true treasure to our neighborhood and was loved like family. She was a special person but we know she is rejoicing in our Saviors arms and next to Gene in Heaven. Our sincerest condolences for your loss.
