Michelle was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charles Council and Viola Tennison Bailey; her maternal grandparents, Frank James and Laura Mary Fox; her parents, Norman Lester and Ann Louise (Fox) Bailey; her brother, Norman James Bailey; and her sister, Freddie Jean (Bailey) Noll.
She is survived by her partner, Donald Chapman; twin brother, Charles Michael Bailey; nieces Laura Carter, Carol Noll, and Julie Kiam; and nephews Robert Bailey Noll and Logan Scott Shaw-Trudell.
Honorary (virtual) pallbearers: Jimmy Fox, Larry Fox, Frank Fox, Gary Schluterman, Celeste Fox, and Barbara Fox Waller.
A reception honoring Michelle will be held at a future, to be determined, date.
Michelle, like her mother, was a diamond-hard shining presence—filled with goodness, compassion, and love, in conflict with itself. We are made less by her loss.
“And there will be no more night; they need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.”
