Betty Jean Everett, age 77, passed peacefully on March 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Betty was born on July 8, 1948, in England, Arkansas. She spent much of her life in California before eventually returning home to Arkansas, where she later settled in Jacksonville.
Betty was a proud mother to three children: Terri Pendergraft-Loveday (Scott), Steve Mansell (Paula), and Gary Mansell. She was also a loving Memaw to Jennifer Garrett (Mark), Shelia Sewelson (Jesse), Patrick Mansell (Megan), Melissa Mansell, Wayne Mansell, and Natalie Mansell. She was blessed with several great-grandchildren, including two who held a very special place in her heart, Hunter and Parker Garrett.
Betty retired from the North Litle Rock School District and enjoyed spending her days doing the things she loved most, especially spending time with her family and her granddaughter/daughter, Melissa.
Betty lived a full and adventurous life. From flying her own plane to raising her children and grandchildren, she embraced life with strength and independence. She loved the years she spent at the Moose Lodge with her dear friends and never met a slot machine she didn’t like.
Above all, Betty stood firm in her love for her family. She was protective, loyal, and deeply devoted to the people she loved most.
Those who knew Betty will remember her as kind, loving, and beautiful inside and out. She held a very special place in the hearts of her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Betty was surrounded by loved ones when she peacefully went to meet the Lord.
Her love, strength, and spirit will live on in the family she cherished so deeply.
There will be no services for Betty at this time. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made in Betty's name to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
