Billie Lois Clayton, age 87, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023 in Fayetteville, AR. Lois was born March 14, 1936 in the Harris Community near Fayetteville, AR to Forrest and Norma King. She was married to William "Bill" L. Clayton for 53 years. They lived in Sherwood, AR where they raised their two sons, Timmy and Michael. Lois held a degree in home economics from the University of Arkansas and taught grade school for several years before becoming a full-time wife and mother. She was a long-time member of First Christian Church - Sherwood. Lois was a kind and gentle soul who met life's many challenges with grace and patience.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill, their son, Michael and her sister Elizabeth Combs. She is survived by her son, Timmy Clayton of Conway, AR; brother, Charles King and wife Claudine of Siloam Springs, AR; sister, June Baggett and husband, Ray of Fayetteville, AR; sister Virginia Woodfin of Grovetown, GA; nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Rest Hills Memorial Park, located at 7724 Landers Rd, North Little Rock, AR 72117
