Jimmy Lee Linder, 84, of Sherwood, left this world and joined his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 8, 2025. He was born November 11, 1940, an only child of the late James Linder and late Martha Linder. He is survived by two cousins, Vicky Haralson and Patty Hale.
He was born and raised in West Helena. He graduated from high school there in 1961. After living his first half in West Helena, he enjoyed his second half in Sherwood. He worked at Pathfinders in Jacksonville for 30 years.
One of Jimmy Lee’s greatest life joys was reading, watching and talking about sports. He was especially fond of the Arkansas Razorbacks. From high school through his latter days, he networked and personally knew a variety of sports figures including Razorback football head coach, Razorback/NFL football player, Razorback/Olympic/NBA basketball player and numerous on-air TV and Radio sportscasters.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 14th at 10:00 AM at Rest Hills Funeral Home in North Little Rock. Burial will follow Friday, February 14th at 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Griffin-Leggett Rest Hills of North Little Rock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jimmy Lee’s honor may be made to Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church in Sherwood.
