John William Benson died unexpectedly on March 14, 2024. He was born July 4, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York. He answered the call and joined the Air Force in 1963. He proudly served his country for 20 years, earning numerous awards and citations during his service. While overseas, he met and then married Tetsuko Kagino in Tokyo, Japan. They were married for 56 years. Tetsuko survives him, along with his brother, Harold Benson, and his sister-in-law Susan Benson, nineteen nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Hubert Benson, mother Marguerite Benson McHugh, sisters Virginia Snover, Audrey Hall and Ann Wood, and a brother, Charles Benson. There will be a private interment at Rest Hills Memorial Park in Sherwood, Arkansas.
