
Larry James McCrea, Sr., 60, of Jacksonville passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016. Larry was born to parents George and Shirley McCrea in Syracuse, New York. Larry joined the U. S. Air Force after graduating school. Larry served as General Manager for Cinemark USA for a number of years. Larry enjoyed living life to the fullest, he loved to go on cruises and go to casinos. He also loved eating Mexican food, going to Red Lobster and eating Sweet Tarts candy. He was an avid computer "Sitter". Larry's favorite time of the year was Christmas and the family has many wonderful memories of Christmas spent together. Special memories of weddings, vacations and time spent with children and grandchildren will be cherished forever. Larry loved to spend time with his wife, children and grandchildren - it was what he cherished most in life. He was known by many different names but "Dad", "Daddy" and "Papa" were the names most precious to him. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, sister Peggy and his wife of thirty three years, Sylvia Victoria McCrea. Left to cherish his memory are children: Rose Luna (Mitch) of Arkadelphia, AR, Larry McCrea, Jr. of Grand Junction, CO, Victoria (Kenneth) Chaplin of Grand Junction, CO; Grandchildren Christian McCrea of Denver, CO, Hannah McCrea of KY, Dustin Holland of Jacksonville, AR, Jacob Luna of Arkadelphia, AR, Brandon Raynor and Gregory Raynor of Jacksonville, AR, Blaine and Kyle McCrea of Greenbrier, AR; sister Nikki (David) Hill of FL and brother Mike (Lisa) McCrea of Longview, TX along with several nieces and nephews and lots of great friends. He was loved by all and will be remembered all was for his smile, his great laugh, his wonderful personality and the loving listening he gave to all. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
