Margie was married to her sweetheart, James Turpin in Montgomery, Alabama on April 6, 1952. They were married for 62 devoted years. Margie served alongside James in the military as a supportive spouse for 26 years. They retired in North Little Rock, where she lived for 39 years. Margie was an active member of the Sylvan Hills First Baptist for many years. She loved and served the congregation as a prayer warrior. Margie enjoyed sewing, talking to family, friends, and sharing her faith.
Margie will be remembered by her loving family, Wanda (Jay) Allen of Celina, Texas, and Sondra (Mickey) Williams of Glide, Oregon. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Daniel (Ashley) Allen, David Allen, Matthew Williams, Timothy Williams and great-grandchildren, Kaley and Avery Allen. Margie is preceded in death by her husband, James Turpin, her parents, Molly and Frank Todd and her brothers and sisters.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on February 9, 2023 at Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church, 9008 AR-107, Sherwood, AR. Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral for Margie immediately following at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, AR at 1:00 PM.
