Rama Lou “Rae” Bryant, 71, of Sherwood, AR, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 4, 2024. She was born in North Little Rock, AR, to Raymond E. and Mary Lou King who also precede her in death.
Rae is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Steven D. Bryant, her brother Raymond E. King Jr., and daughters Rayma Lynne (Heath) Wilson, and Randa Leigh McClellan. Rae also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jason Tyler McClellan, Christopher Jacob McClellan, and Kaylee Rae McClellan. Along with Steven’s children Steven Shane Bryant and Dana Michelle (Michael) Dalton, and grand children Brooklyn (Austin) Shelton (great-grandson Gabriel), and Hunter Cody (Jessica) Bradford.
Rae also had a lifelong friend Judy Raines’; they were like sisters. They spent many Tuesdays, shopping and when Judy moved away, every Saturday they would call and talk on the phone for hours.
Rae was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church and a devoted participant in Jim Dockins’ Sunday School Class.
Rae began working for The Phone Company at the age of 19 and retired after a long career from AT&T in 1999. Her greatest joy was her beloved husband, Steve, and their combined families. Rae's faith was her guiding light, and she loved and cherished her family dearly.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.
