He joined his two daughters, Amy and Anna, along with his parents, RD and Billy Alyce Bell, special friends, JD and Harriett Griggs, and many family and friends that went before him.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Karen L Bell, daughter Kimberly Wright (Dan), and Robert (Rob) E Bell Jr (Mimi), bonus kids Amy Casey (Ron), and Danny Cotton (Vanessa). Grandchildren Jake ( Chelsey), Austin, Brennan, Kayden, Emily, Brianna, Oshi, Bellamy, Blair, Eli, Presley, Hadley and great grandchildren, Ben, Everett, Elizabeth, Emma, Edmond and his brother, Woody Bell of Sarasota, Florida.
Bob served 4 years at the Beale Air Force Base in California. He was an “Arkie” at heart and told the story many times of loading his family and heading back to Arkansas where he lived his entire life. He loved deer hunting, fishing, golfing, a medium rare steak, and a cold beer.
Anyone who knows Bobby knows he loved his dogs. Scruffy, Jordan, and Bliss brought him much pleasure in providing treats and then teasing them because each is really plump. His birds, especially Slick the Mockingbird, brought him much happiness in the last year and he looked forward to feeding mealworms. We must not leave out his stories of the raccoon visits at night when they arrived for their dinner. Bobby was excited for their arrival each night to see their interaction with one another and expressed concern if they were late or absent.
He loved with all of his heart and soul. He was generous to a fault and took special pride in seeing that none of his loves went without. His love was always present. He is lovingly remembered as “B” and the beer bandit to his adopted daughter as he referred to Timber, our neighbor. To Paula, his special sis, and JL, his stories continue to live on after his fishing buddies left for their final resting place. Let’s not forget the golfing stories with his buddies, Darrell and Jackie, while living in Stuttgart, AR.
Bob was such a colorful story teller and always added his touch to embellish the story. He loved telling stories of his years as a master electrician, where he was very proud of his work at the Veterans Hospitals Little Rock and North Little Rock, AR his work at various locations including the nuclear power plant in Russellville as well as then International Paper Mill in Pine Bluff, Ar. He was a proud member of the IBEW 295 and continued to carry his card even after retiring many years ago.
