Shirley June Coble Owen, age 90, passed away March 11, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer F. and Thelma I. Coble and a sister, Barbara M. Larson. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Orin K. “Marv” Owen. Shirley loved music and sang with choral and church choirs most of her life. When her husband Marv retired from the Air Force they enjoyed traveling, fishing and golf. They especially enjoyed having their two grandchildren, Steven and Sara, with them often on Eden Isle. Shirley was of the Christian faith. Survivors include a daughter, Pamela MacLeod and her husband, Kenneth MacLeod , of Cabot; Son Steven C. Owen, Sr. and wife, Cathy, of Little Rock; Grandchildren Steven Owen, Jr., Sara Owen and step Grandson Stephen MacLeod; Step-great grandsons Chris and Owen MacLeod and step-great granddaughter Hallie MacLeod; nieces Debbie Jones and Cathy Sohnrey, cousin Lynn Kerr and sister-in-law Verona Owen A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 17th at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Arkansas Hospice of Little Rock or the Humane Society of Pulaski County.
