Steve Bates

Steve graduated from Ole Main High School in North Little Rock. He was employed by Sunbelt Mechanical Inc. which was a family business. His passion was his music, he traveled all over as a musician. There were many things Steve enjoyed in life but none more than his children, his guitar and nature. He liked old movies, cartoons, collecting nostalgia, Bruno’s pizza, licorice and watermelon. Steve loved the summer months, where you could find him on road trips with his family, hanging out in the woods and four-wheeling at the cabin.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Emmanuel “Mike” Bates.

Steve is survived by his mother, Patsy Bates; his girl friend, Donna Prowse; one son, Jesse Bates; one daughter, Josie Bates; one sister, Ginger Bates White (Terry); and nephews: Gable and Skylar White.

Visitation will be held, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2015 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be held, 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 109 Tanglewood Drive, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118.
