Warren Jackson (Buck) Rone, Sr. age 83, of Concord, Arkansas crossed over on July 20, 2023. Warren was born July 8, 1940 in Concord, AR to Robert D. and Sudie Rone. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Ronda Reed.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Rone; son, Warren Jackson Rone, Jr.; three daughters, Marilyn Mayfield (Tim), Donna Sims (Keith) and Nancy Wiles; nine grandchildren, Wayne Reed, Jake Reed (Kala), Karleigh Ferrell, Daniel Barnett (Sara), Doug Barnett, Neil Mayfield (Emily), Kindalh Hoover (Michael), Clay Sullinger and Chandler Sullinger; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Heinrich.
Warren graduated from Concord High School, attended Arkansas Tech and went to Mechanic School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The greater part of his career was as a diesel mechanic. He helped to keep those big wheels rolling. He also worked at Kansas Gas and Electric for 10 years.
Warren served as mayor of the town of Concord from 2010-2018, a job he was very proud of. He was a member of Concord General Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at Mount Zion Cemetery at the pavillion on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mount Zion Cemetery, 199 Floral Rd., Concord, AR 72523.
