My favorite memory of Mr. Jimenez is one day I was helping to straighten Carmi’s hair and he asked why we were straightening our curls. He said “I don’t know why you would do that, I was the man back in the day with my curls. All the ladies loved my curls.” I remember just cracking up because I wasn’t expecting him to say that. Mr. Jimenez was the true definition of good.  I will never forget the love and kindness he always showed me.

I remember meeting brother Angel (Lito) when I was about 3 years old 44+ years ago.  To me he always looked the same never getting old or hardly any gray hairs (trait he passed on to his daughters Diana and Flor).  Everytime I told him he would give me a great big smile.  One of my favorite memories of him was when he sang a solo in the Tampa, Church of God, men's choir that talked about never being too old to conquer a mountain or starting something new and being a leader.  He definitely liked to sing it and we would all enjoy it knowing that he measured up to those words he sang.  
I  will see you again brother Lito.

I haven't been able to bring myself to posting because it's still hard for me to believe that my Pops is actually gone. I will keep his memory alive through all the memories and good times we shared and i grateful to God for giving me such a special man as my father for 35 years. I shared my birthday with him and we had a special bond.  I will never forget my dads heart of gold who always helped everyone and he taught us by his example to do the same. I am who i am today because of God and because of my amazing daddy. I miss him so much but understand that he's with his creator and the place he  strived his entire life to reach. R.I.P Papi te quiero mucho y fue un placer ayudarte y tenerte como mi padre.💗

I’m so very happy that I got the chance to meet Brother Angel. The second I came to visit Miami I felt like an extended part of the family. He was such an easygoing person and I could tell that he was a solid rock in the home.  At one point just he and I were talking. While it was just the two of us he taught me a valuable lesson that I aim to keep with me for the rest of my life. “Why make it hard when you can make it easy.” This sounds insignificant but it is very needful. If you love someone tell them. If you want something ask. This is a great lesson in life. God bless you Flor, mamá Lucy, and Family. Los quiero y seguiré orando por ustedes. 

Dios los cuide y bendiga durante este tiempo tan duro.

Cuando eramos muy pequeños, Papi nos montaba a caballito en su espalda. Cuando regresaba de largos viajes con la Fuerza Aerea, siempre  nos traía dulces.
Nos gustaba mirar las caricaturas de La Pantera Rosada con él  porque lo disfrutaba tanto que se reía más que nosotros.   Cuando eramos jovenes, nos sentíamos que teníamos al maestro de Ciencia y Español  en la casa.  Hoy apreciamos sus enseñanzas porque hablamos, leemos y escribimos el Español y el Inglés.   Aprendimos a traducir desde muy pequeños.  También nos enseñó acerca de la Biblia y contestaba todas nuestras preguntas.   En la matemática existe un símbolo que representa lo INFINITO.  Es una raya con una flecha en cada punta.   Papi usó ese signo para hablarme acerca de que Dios es Eterno y no tiene principio ni fin.  Entonces me enseñó el signo que representa lo Finito.
Ese es una raya con un punto en cada lado.   Ese nos representa a nosotros, los seres humanos, porque somos mortales.  ¡Que lección en teología!   Lo pude entender. Gracias a Dios que yo sé que nuestro papá llegó a  la presencia de un Dios ETERNO en el Paraíso.   Cuando Cristo venga,  El vendrá con sus santos ángeles y traerá a los que durmieron EN EL!    El viene a levantar a su Iglesia y así estaremos todos juntos para siempre con el Señor porque nuestra ALMA es ETERNA y no tiene FIN! 
¡BENDITA ESPERANZA VIVA Y REAL!  


I have  always enjoyed going over to visit and hear his wonderful stories and advice. Even the ones he repeats. But what will forever stay in my heart is the day he and my son formed a bond. Joshuel was in his Boy Scout uniform that day and he mentioned to Angel how he wants to go to the airforce. Angel gets up goes to his room and after a few moments comes out in his naval uniform standing at full attention. The two just talk and bonded over airplanes. At the end when we headed home Joshuel said "can he be like my airforce grandpa?" Absolutely!
That day, they both inspired each other. 
I will forever be greatful for that. He had his wings in the airforce but now his wings are greater. 
For ever missed but never forgot.

**My son comment at the news of his passing, "I'm going to make him proud and make it to the airforce."


This year has been a year of both gain and loss.  Only earlier this year, I had become the friend of Angel Jimenez. He was the man I saw frequently walking, hand in hand with his wife, smiling and waving as he passed on his daily walk. Through good fortune and God's grace, his wife, Lucy, introduced herself, Angel and their family to me.  I was forewarned early that illness had dimmed his mental faculties. However, through the light in his eyes and our frequent yet brief conversations, I witnessed a profound level of kindness, imagination, intelligence, insight, intuition, language, wisdom and both artistic and scientific abilities beyond what I could have assumed from any unknown man passing by. How blessed and fortunate am I for God to allow you into my life before you were asked to to come join him once again? For that, I am lucky.  I have been embraced in entirety by the Jimenez family, who were created and influenced by this man of God, Angel Rosendo Jimenez. You have touched my earthly life and the lives of many others, for that I am sure.  Thank you, God, for generously sharing this man with us. May he enjoy his time with you once again. We love your precious daughter Flor so very much.  You raised an intelligent, strong, loving and amazing daughter and we are so fortunate to work with her. She and you all are part of our family.  I only had the opportunity to meet you once and immediately saw how loving, graceful  and caring you are . Your family is a reflection of this. There are just too many memories to begin to think about just one. But there is one  that stands out, and it is one of my most favorite of memories. It was when I had the privilege of going to the Macdill Airforce Base with the Jimenez family. Brother Angel was so proud to have served this country and he was so excited that we were going there that day. He walked us all around and he shared so many stories with us. I really had a fun day and I am forever grateful that I had the privilege of growing close to the Jimenez family. He is one of my dads best friends and one that could never be replaced.  🇺🇸

My deepest condolences to the Jimenez family.  I have read that you will know the tree by the fruit of the tree. Although,  I had never met Angel, I know his son Onel as a good person and friend. May God comfort you in this time of loss. 

My prayers are with the Jimenez family.  I met the Jimenez family when I was a teen. It wasn't until I moved down to Miami that Flor and I became family. Every time I went to church with either Flor or my aunt, bro Angel always greeted me as if it was always the first time. I didnt spend a lot of time with bro Angel but Flor is family and so is bro Angel. May you rest in heaven.

I will never forget my Tio Angel, always ready to help, always with a solution to a problem. He helped my parents and I when leaving Cuba in 1962, and has always been a strong part of our family.  Many great memories of him over the past 50 plus years, and they will always be remembered and retold. Thank you for your life lived to help others, service to your country, care for your family, and love for God. May you Rest In Peace my Tio! Love you and your family.

We are thankful to have been a part of Bro. Angel (Leto) life.  His love for God and His people were always foremost in his life.  The years he was part of the congregation of The Church of God in Miami, he was always doing something to help the Church, it’s people and others he met.  He drove to pick up saints for service, even donated a vehicle, repaired many saints appliances, did any kind of handy work for the Church and others.  All he wanted was not even a thank you, but a good cup of Cuban coffee.  We truly appreciate the Saint he was and rejoice that another warrior had gone home. He my friend i am so sorry about what you are going through, I just want to tell you i love you and let you know that your dad must be very proud of you bc you did everything in your power to save his life, but sometimes God has the last word and it was his time to go be with our father in heaven, but know that you are an amazing daughter and you went above and beyond for him and he knows that..i love you and may your dad rest in peace.

The wonderful memories we shared with lito will always be cherished he loved comming over to eat and sharing all of his cuba and military stories .He was a jack of all trades . He will and is missed by all who new his quiet demeanor but so very talented man. God truly is happy your home.

I want to offer my sincerest condolences to the Jimenez family.  I never had the fortune to meet Mr. Jimenez but I know his son, Onel.  I'm happy to call Onel a friend.  May Mr. Jimenez rest in peace.

It has truly been a privilege to have known Lito and have had wonderful conversations with him. Sorry I couldn’t be there to say good bye, and to thank you for adopting my mother and bringing her to the states from Cuba. She loved you dearly. I will never forget when we lived in your house in Homestead. I was a little girl, but you were always so kind to My mom and all of us. Once we moved to Tampa, I hardly saw you except  a few times at Diana’s, but you always had a smile on your face.  My fondest memories.... hearing your stories of when you were in the Air Force and about the space shuttle. I always thought of you as a genius. You dedicated your life to God and your family so I’m sure you’re now in paradise. We will all miss you. Love You Tio Lito!  May you RIP
