I feel so blessed that not only were Marty and I fraternity brothers at Western Reserve University but that we shared a friendship for 60 plus years.  In the last  few days I have reflected on so many fond memories- The love he had for his beautiful wife Judy, the strength he exhibited in raising his children as a single father after her tragic passing,  our many discussions about sports with respect for different perspectives we sometimes had, and in the last few years working together to impact a better world for our grandchildren.

To Marty's family- At his funeral services you all so eloquently reflected on what a loving, caring , sincere, and genuine person Marty was. I want you to know that his fraternity brothers and friends saw all these qualities and sincerely loved and respected him.

Marty, I will miss you so much  and as I now know you had the same love of ice cream that I do, the next time I have a sundae, I will be thinking of you!

 thoughtful toward others; his intense interests in many areas, especially sports and politics, and great sense of humor will be missed.

I met Martin Kleinbart in 2021.
He came to my gallery, looking for an artist to design political posters.
From that very moment, I knew we shared the same ideals.
And a sincere, wonderful friendship was born.

Marty always spoke with deep love about his children.
About his sisters.
About his family.

We spent long hours in conversation.
We shared values and principles rooted in our traditions.
We stood together in political protests.
Defending democracy.
Defending the Constitution.
Defending human rights.

Marty was a true gentleman.
He was my dearest friend.
Compassionate.
Altruistic.
Always willing to listen, to understand, and to help others.

His passing leaves me with profound sadness.
My soul feels empty without him.
But I will always carry him in my heart.
And his memory will live forever in my thoughts.

To his children, to his sisters, to his entire family—
I extend my deepest condolences.

There are no words to truly capture the depth of a friendship like the one Marty and Charles shared.  From the day Lauren and Stacey started kindergarten 55 years ago. a bond was formed that would grow stronger through every year.  Marty was a true fantasy genius and the boys loved Marty's input for fantasy football.  Marty and Charles were brothers in spirit.  He was a comfort and a connection to the past to our family.
Bonnie, Stacey, Greg, and Adam all feel this loss deeply with you.  Charles cherished his friendship more than words can express, and so did we.  He will be sorely missed by our family.
