A proud graduate of Philadelphia High School for Girls, Ruth continued to love learning for the rest of her life. She always kept a book or a newspaper within arms reach.
She married Hyman D. Naftal on October 5, 1958, and remained his wife until his death in 1987. They raised two children, Faith and Jeffrey Naftal, who have formed loving families of their own.
Ruth gave a lot of her time volunteering for ORT, https://ort.org/en/about-ort/about/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">https://ort.org/en/about-ort/about/ (https://ort.org/en/about-ort/about/), serving in many capacities, and even modeling for their fashion shows!
She loved the Philadelphia Phillies from the time she was a little girl, when her parents took her to lots of games. She then became a huge Miami Dolphins fan when the family moved to south Florida and got season tickets. Her passion for sports remained strong into her older years, with her still cheering on the Phillies, Dolphins and UM Hurricanes.
Ruth was considered a renaissance woman, as she was an avid painter, reader, tennis player, cook, US and World Traveller, and social butterfly. 🦋
Ruth is survived not only by her loving daughter Faith, and her grandchildren Pierce, London and Hudson, who loved their Bubby dearly, but also by anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my Shepherd;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down
in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul;
He leadeth me in the paths of
righteousness for His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me;
Thou preparest a table before me in
the presence of mine enemies;
Thou anointest my head with oil,
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall
follow me all the days of my life;
and I will dwell in the house of the
Lord forever.
