

Annie Bell Freeman was born, May 5, 1940 in Milledgeville, Georgia, to the late Jim Myrick Freeman and the late Mozelle Sims. Annie was the second oldest of seven children, Flossie (deceased), Carolyn, James (Monique), Marion (Yvette), Charles (deceased), and Willie (deceased).
In her early years, Annie grew up in Milledgeville, Georgia and received her formal education in the Baldwin County School System. Annie later further her education at Miami Dade Community College receiving an Association of Arts degree in nutrition. Annie moved to Miami from Milledgeville where she met and married Willie George Mitchell (deceased). Annie and Willie were blessed with six children; Avery (Angela), Alicia (Jorge), Annette, Abbie, Alfreda, and Angelina (deceased).
Annie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was a dedicated and faithful Christian. Annie was a member of the Brownsville Church of Christ where she would always give of herself whenever possible. Annie sacrificed her life to take care of her mentally challenged daughter (Angelina) for 32 years. Annie was also known to have a “humble spirit” and would always help others. Annie would deny herself just to make sure everyone else had and to make sure she was never a burden to others.
On November 3, 2020, after her many years of faithfulness and sacrifice God called Annie home to rest.
Annie leaves to cherish fond memories: Siblings: Carolyn White of Bronx, New York; James Sims (Monique) of Atlanta, Georgia; Marion Freeman (Yvette) of Macon, Georgia; Children: Avery Mitchell (Angela), Alicia Mitchell (Jorge), Annette Mitchell of Orlando, Florida, Abbie Mitchell, Alfreda Mitchell; Grandchildren: Harvey Horne Jr., Travis Mitchell, Myrick Mitchell, Trameka Mitchell, Jay “Jolyssa” Charadon of Atlanta, Georgia; Jorge Charadon III, Alkinya Hepburn of Orlando, Florida; Great-Grandchildren: Aaron Mitchell, Arianna Mitchell, Jake Mitchell; Caretaker: Ms. Gloria of Treasure Isle Care Center; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and devoted friends.

Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on the Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”
