

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Calbert James McDonald, who was born on March 25, 1934, in St. Catherine, Jamaica, to Harold McDonald and Rosetta Thompson. Calbert, affectionately known to friends and family as a kind, hard-working man, passed away peacefully.
Calbert completed his primary education in Jamaica before dedicating himself to a career as a talented tailor, where he earned a living for many years. His meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident in every garment he created, earning the respect and admiration of all who knew him.
Calbert shared over 30 wonderful years of marriage with his loving partner, Junior Whitelock. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. Their bond was an example of dedication and commitment, a love that will live on in the hearts of all who knew them.
A service to honor Calbert's life will be held on February 15, 2025. The viewing and funeral services will be held at Jesus Rock Ministries, 1100 Opa Locka Blvd., Miami, Florida 33054 beginning at 1:00pm. Calbert will be interred at Caballero Rivero Dade North Memorial Park, 1301 Opa-Locka Blvd, Miami, FL 33167 immediately after the funeral services.
May Calbert’s soul rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know him.
