Born on December 4, 1922 in the small town of Cavillon, Haiti, Croyance Cadet’s journey through life began. Croyance was the first son of farmer Cadeus Cadet and his wife Helen Jodeste. It was through his parent's principles and philosophies that he learned his manner of discipline, hardworking ethics, drive to complete tasks with his every fiber, and strength.
Croyance Cadet started to build his life during his early teenage years. Working tedious jobs to support himself, his work ethic aided him towards a better life. He was a seasoned waiter at the popular Chez Gerald Restaurant in Port Au Prince, Haiti. It was during these years that he met and married his first love Ersulia Pierre. During their blissful marriage, they blessed this world with ten children and together with his wife; he provided a good life for each of them to the best of his abilities. He instilled in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren valuable principles of honesty, sacrifice, commitment, responsibility, and most importantly a profound love for God which he demonstrated through his baptism at L’eglise Adventiste Des Freres.
Guided by the Lord, Croyance Cadet journeyed to the United States in the 1985 to continue his life. It was then that his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were privileged to have him watch over, discipline, and guide them. He spent his time gardening, planting, playing dominoes, and wherever he went he had the ability to make neighbors become his friends. Staying true to her unshakable faith in the Lord, he had a meeting with the Lord, where he prayed every day at 12 noon. He attended Agape Seventh Day Adventist Church every week faithfully.
On Saturday July 18, God saw that he was getting tired, so he put his arms around him and whispered, “Come with me”. As it states in 2 Timothy 4: 7-8, Croyance Cadet had fought the good fight, finished the race, and had kept the faith. Now there is in store for him the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to him, not only to him but to all who have longed for the Lord’s appearing.
Croyance Cadet joined his beloved wife to rest and leaves behind, to cherish his memories, his children; Marie Antoinette Pierre, Marie Angie Filias, Adeline Similien, Amilde Cadet, Marie Cecile Dominique, Fredo Cadet, Betty Cadet, Fequiere Cadet, & Esther Cadet.
