Dwayne, I’m praying that you’re in a better place watching over us. I’m praying you that you’re in peace I’m praying for your family and friends I’m praying that god gives all of us strength. 2000 characters will never do justice for the friendship we shared together my brother from another mother. Hit me like a ton of bricks this news. But what keeps me going is knowing you’re finally at peace and rest. I’ll wouldn’t have played basketball again, but you drove me to play more and bc of you I will continue to do so and think of you always when on the court. You brought so much joy and happiness more than I think you’ll ever know. But you know now. We love you D. I’m going to miss our banter on life and the universe. You truly were one of one. Your way of thinking was unique and transcendent. Never change wherever you are now. And may you watch over your loved ones from up above. Love you hermano. Peace be with you.

Cousins are a little bit of childhood that can never be lost, and having you around will be missed. It’s still so hard to say Goodbye to you Dwayne. This is the worst news I’ve ever received in my life I can’t believe that you are not with us anymore you were more than a friend we’re brothers you always had my back no matter what even when I was going through a bad situation you were always there for me and never judged. I will always remember the great times we had together we were always making random jokes and laughing so much, you also was so smart you knew BIG words from the dictionary that I never knew and you had so much knowledge about the world and history I remember when we were in the 10th grade I woke up from a nap during class and I looked at you and you said “Damn dude you sound like Darth Vader” I just started laughing and that’s how we first met from there it was history we were always hanging out together from playing basketball playing video games bday parties going to the movies, watching music videos and movies and you making fun of it lol, going out to eat at restaurants and even working at the same job together we really were the dynamic duo like Mario and Luigi, Ryu and Ken, Deadpool and Wolverine etc… Your family always welcomed me with open arms. I could go on and on with memories and stories. Well Dwayne you are truly special and amazing you connected many friendships and made a huge impact on all of us even though you’re not with us anymore you will Always and Forever be in our Hearts I miss you and love you my brother R.I.P

Dwayne, the love and connection you and I shared was indescribable. A love and understanding that was out of this world. We were each other’s favorites and that alone is something I will always cherish.

I will always remember the times we hung out to the mall  basketball  & baseball games   letting me join the hoop it up team  as a kid making me part of the team  was the greatest start to loving and playing basketball we always had a good basketball chemistry  . My heart dropped when I got the news the other day brother, I’m so sorry. Even though my time with you at Vans wasn’t long, we had such a good bond that I’ll cherish for the rest of my life. You were an amazing person even when you were mad lol. Such an awesome spirit, a lot of knowledge to share and a lot of love to give. I remember we had a convo about you wanting to move to Japan and I thought you were crazy lol but the thing I loved about it was the sky was the limit for you and I loved your outlook on life. You were such an amazing and real person to be around and that’s hard to find in this world we live in today. Your free now big brother and I know your upstairs smiling telling me you made it to Japan lol. Rest easy Dee. You’ll be missed. And to his family, I send my condolences to you and thank you because you all molded an awesome person I just hate that I didn’t get to spend more time with him. I’m praying for yall

You have always gone the extra mile to be the son, brother and friend that everyone can count on you will live in all of our hearts forever.
