Geraldine Love Lawrence

Geraldine had a love and passion for people that was a pure gift from God. With this gift Geraldine blessed everyone she met.

Geraldine attended North Dade High school & later in life found her passion for children, when she started working at James E Scott daycare as a teacher’s aide. She dedicated 20 years of her life to the education of children and made a huge impact on so many lives throughout her tenure.

After retiring, Geraldine joined Hospice care as a Certified Nurse’s assistant taking care of those infected and affected with HIV/AIDS. Geraldine continued her service in the community and impacting lives when she became a member of the nutrition staff at Bunche Park Elementary & also volunteered as an election worker, supporting voting rights for minorities for many years.

Geraldine joined Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist church and put her creative skills to good use by making flower arrangements for church events and assisting anywhere she was needed. Geraldine’s talents did not end there; she also was an artist, seamstress, songstress, potter and excellent homemaker.

Geraldine married Eddie Lawrence in 1998 and was a devoted wife to him until his death in 2013. Geraldine moved to Atlanta, GA in 2014 to be with her daughter Katrina Delk-Morris who took care of her until she went home to be with the Lord, on July 8th 2021.

Geraldine was preceded in death by six of her siblings: Maxine Love, Carol (cookie) Williams, Bernice Love Altman, Robert Love, Johnny Love, Herman Williams & Jerry Williams. Her last surviving siblings are Herman Williams & Jerry Williams.

Left to cherish her graceful and precious memories are: Her three beautiful children; Katrina Delk-Morris, Virgil Delk & Marcus Grant; Brothers: Herman Williams and Jerry Williams; Grand Children: Bianca Williams, Marcus Grant Jr., Anthony Lester, Marquis Grant, Andray Grant, Grace Payne, Cherise Christian and Lamar Christian; Great Grand Children: Eric Watkins Jr, Braila Grant, Brayden Grant, Charm Grant, Amari Grant, Prince Grant, Grifyn Payne, Max Payne, Jaelyn Christian, Bella Christian, Zuri Christian; And a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, church family & friends. Thank you God for her Life!
