Quintin Jermaine Easterling, buddha, was born August 11, 1993, to Aconia Williams and (Late) Randolph Easterling in Miami, Florida. Quintin arrived early, weighing in at 2lbs and 2 ounces. The doctors underestimated the power of praying parents with their predictions that Quintin would live a limited life. They were wrong.
Despite some challenges in childhood, Quintin overcame all the barriers placed on him. He attended schools in Miami and graduated from Miami Beach Senior High in 2011. He thrived in all the things he put his hands to do.
Quintin's fiancé, Breana Bradford, was the love of his life. Before passing, he planned to visit her and make things official. He was faithful in how he showed up and supported his family. He would attend every cookout, wedding, birthday, ceremony, or funeral if he knew about it. He supported his family no matter who it was. He loved trying new restaurants and traveling with his sister and best friend Shirnethia "Pumpkin" Jackson. His coworkers at Footlocker also attest to his faithfulness and loyalty in hard work.
Some of his hobbies included listening to music, rapping, watching movies, cycling, and spending time with his family and friends. Quintin would often cycle for hours exploring the city of Miami. He enjoyed fitness and working out. He also enjoyed a good debate with his friends over his favorite basketball team, the Chicago Bulls, and who the best rap artist was. He loved listening to his favorite artist, Larry June, and dedicated himself to helping others. He was happiest when solving problems, motivating, and encouraging others. He also had a silly side; he knew how to have fun and when to be serious. That is just who he was.
He was an easy-going, kind, and humble man. Some of his fondest memories were sitting on his porch, listening to music, and grabbing breakfast on Sunday mornings to jumpstart his week. He valued creating peace in the storm, always being a voice of reason when times were challenging. Although he appreciated his quiet time, he loved a good conversation and was often told he had an "old soul," making friends with the young and older.
Quintin prioritized loving his family, laughing, and supporting his friends; this will be one of the legacies he leaves behind. Quintin’s sudden departure from his earthly body reminds us of the importance of family and extending love, making time for one another, and making every moment matter. His absence is already felt by those who he loved and loved him in return.
