Veronica Olivene Wellington

Affectionately known to family and friends as “Tata” was born in Woodlands, Hanover, Jamaica to the late Iris and Phillip Nathaniel Wellington. She attended the Montego Bay High School and Mrs Morgan Commercial School. With her knack for numbers, she started her career at the Montego Bay Tax Office and worked at several companies thereafter – The Beacon, Jamaica Oxygen, HERCO, and Swiss Stores where she was a meticulous Bookkeeper and Manager. She resided in Montego Bay, Jamaica until the late seventies when she migrated to the United States. Her career in the field of Home Health, introduced all to a caring, selfless, caregiver who gave her all without boundaries and without hesitation. She extended this kind of warmth and compassion, not only on a Professional basis but to all who were acquainted with her.
If we could acknowledge her in one final conversation knowing it would be our last, it would be this:-
"The way you go about your day, brightening lives, lifting spirits, and selflessly giving from the heart is truly an inspiration. It’s just a part of who you are – to never look for praise yet to be so worthy of it."
To cherish her memories, she left behind her son Wayne Dennis (Camile), daughters Kathryn Dennis and Elizabeth Brydson (Dave). Grandchildren Krysten and Kimberly Jumpp, Kristian and David Thompson, Christian and Cayden Dennis. Siblings Mrs. Thelma McIntosh, Dr. Karl Wellington, Lloyd Wellington, Mrs. Jacqueline Lynch, Steven Wellington, Mrs. Grace Amoye, Ms Joy Mowatt, Ms. Hyacinth Scott, Mrs. Hillerrette Preddie(Constance), Winsome Barrett many nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
