

HODGE, Amy Andrea Scott, age 91, of Palm Beach Gardens died peacefully in her sleep on Aug. 27, 2014 in her home at Prosperity Oaks Retirement Facility. Born in Wilkinsburg, PA she was predeceased by her parents Eli Franklin Scott and Mildred Scott as well as brothers, Herbert, Leslie and sister Eleanor. Andrea was preceded in death by her husband Leon Felton Hodge. Andrea is survived by her children, Christopher B. Hodge, Leslie Hodge Morrison, grandchildren Melissa Baldwin, Debra Pate, Amanda Frye, Christopher Leon Hodge, Carly E. Hodge as well as a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Much loved and cared for by caregivers Kathy, Pat and Brenda.
Andrea was raised in Pennsylvania and attended art school there before her marriage to Leon F. Hodge of West Palm Beach. Leon and Andrea founded E&H Boat Works in Northern Palm Beach County in 1946. In 1984 the family founded The Way Boatyard, now owned and operated by son Chris. Andrea retired in 2011 after selling E&H to Michael Rybovich.
The Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 10:00am until 12 Noon at the First Baptist Church of Lake Park, 625 Park Ave., Lake Park, Florida 33403 with the Funeral Service starting at 12 Noon. Interment will follow services at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 6411 Parker Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33405. In lieu of flowers, please consider Andrea’s favorite charities – The Lord’s Place, Ronald McDonald House, Peggy Adams Animal Care, Busch Wildlife and Parent Child Center.
