Ella M. Spagnolo

Age 97, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025. She was born in Providence, RI on May 26, 1928 to the late Gaetano and Lucia Lombardi.

On Oct. 12, 1948 she married John J. Spagnolo, Sr. They were happily married for 73 years when John passed away in 2021. They lived in North Providence, RI raising their 3 sons. Ella worked a number of years at RI College in their Administration Department. In addition, she also worked part time for DeFelice Realty.

In 2011, they moved to Naples, Florida and in 2018 they moved to North Palm Beach and then Palm Beach Gardens to be closer to their family.

Ella was very active in her church, attending daily mass and participating in a prayer group and was considered an excellent cook and baker, which her family and friends greatly appreciated.

Ella is survived by her 2 sons, John J. Spagnolo, Jr. of North Palm Beach, FL and Donald Spagnolo of Santa Maria, CA. She was predeceased in death by her youngest son, Steven P. Spagnolo.

She also is survived by her grandchildren Kathryn Ferris, Jeanna Spagnolo, Carli Spagnolo and Steven Spagnolo and 4 great-grandsons – Jake Santos, Cory Van Wormer, Franklin Ferris and Vincent Ferris.

She was always the first one to offer a helping hand to friends and family and will be remembered most for her sense of humor, limitless energy and compassion for others.
