Harold Monroe Gibson, of North Palm Beach, FL passed on Thursday, December 20, 2012 in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Harold was an Engineer/Manager at Pratt & Whitney for 33 years. He is a veteran of the Korean War serving in both the Army and the Air Force. He was actively involved in philanthropy through various charities. He was a Civil War buff and enjoyed studying various aspects of the war and visiting the battlefields. He came to the area in 1959 from New York.
Survivors include sons, Sean Gibson of Boynton Beach, FL, and Christopher and Cyndee Gibson of Opelika, AL, two granddaughters, Sarah Yates Gibson of Sarasota, FL and Grace-Frances M. Gibson of Delray Beach, FL, two grandsons, Jesse Gibson and Quinlan Gibson, both of Opelika, AL. Gibson was predeceased by his wife Suzanne Carlson GIbson.
A visitation will be held at the Howard Price Funeral Home in North Palm Beach, FL on Sunday December 23 from 1:00-2:00 PM, followed by a 2:00 PM Homegoing service. The Reverend Scribner Damon of the New Life Community Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation to the charity of your choosing.
