On May 30, 2021 “Julie/JJ” reunited with her husband, Clayton C. “Rob/PopPop” Robinson. She was born July 13, 1927 to Harper John and Ray Southern Endsley – the middle of 3 daughters. Julie grew-up in Fairview Heights, a suburb of Cleveland, and Kinsman, OH. Quite a high school athlete, softball and basketball, she went on to Miami University in Oxford, OH. On December 17, 1948 she married Rob, the love of her life for over 68 years. They began their married life on the Robinson Hybrid Corn farm in Radnor, OH, but after having 3 children in 4 years, they moved to Worthington, OH, a suburb of Columbus, and ultimately to West Hartford, CT where Rob had a 35-year career with Travelers Insurance. That city life was definitely a much better fit for Julie, a banker’s daughter. Julie excelled at being a hostess, gardener and crafter, especially stenciling, and she loved her 2 miniature poodles, Rebel and Frannie. She also became a very good golfer at the Hartford Golf Club and the PGA National, recording 2 holes-in-one. Rob’s job gave her many opportunities to exercise her hostess and golf skills at some wonderful convention resorts. She was also instrumental in designing and decorating both their Sunset Farm (West Hartford) and PGA National (Palm Beach Gardens) homes. Julie was a longtime member of Jupiter First Congregational Church in Jupiter, FL. She had 3 children (spouses) – Ron (Connie), Judy (Dan - deceased), Craig (Marla); 8 grandchildren – Mark Robinson (deceased), Diana Robinson Martucci (Eddie), Meaghan Griffin (Billy), Shauna Griffin Lewis (Tanner), Dan Griffin (Claudia), Rianne Kistner (Steve), Leah O’Hearn (Jay), Katherine Robinson; 8 great grandchildren – Dante, Gianni and Enzo Martucci, Aidan Griffin, Kyler and Cole Lewis, Grayden and Cooper O’Hearn; her sister, Ellen Jewell; and her longest/dearest friend, Marion “Mickey” Roberts. The family is making private funeral arrangements.
