

Joe was a lifelong resident of Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach. He was a graduate of St. Ann School, Class of 1950. He attended Palm Beach Junior College and the University of Miami before entering the U.S. Army where he served during the Korean Conflict. After the service, he began his 60 year career as a builder and developer in South East Florida. Joe, his dad, Joe Sr., and his brother, Ed built and operated the Palm Beach International Raceway. They also built the American Polish Club. Mr. B was instrumental in establishing several Catholic churches in the area and he taught and advanced the use of contemporary liturgical music throughout South East Florida. He was a founding board member of Ballet Florida where he loved building scenery for many of the productions.
Joe is survived by his wife, Lynda; his children, Joseph III, Derryl (Lisa), Delaine (Tony), and Ida; his grandchildren, Jackie, Sean, Anthony and Isabella; his brother, Edward; and his former wife, Dorothy.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 9 from 5:00-7:00pm at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 754 U.S. Highway 1, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 10 at 11:00am at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 10970 Jack Nicklaus Drive, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. Interment to follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, FL. Contributions in his honor may be made to the charity of your choice.
