Born to Charles and Anna Blazxok in Hamtramck, Goldie lived an exceptional life filled with love, laughter, creativity, and adventure. She never met a stranger, cherished her family and friends, and was always ready for the next adventure. Goldie was especially proud of her service as a “Rosie the Riveter” during World War II.
While raising her family in Michigan, Goldie became known as the neighborhood mom. She was always there not only for her two children, Jan and Renee, but also for the many neighborhood children who gathered after school for Kool-Aid and cookies.
Her second husband, Bill, brought her to Palm Beach Gardens, where she embraced the Palm Beach lifestyle of the 1970s and 1980s. From boating, golfing, and traveling to volunteering at the Burt Reynolds Dinner Theatre and enjoying tea at Mar-a-Lago, she truly did it all.
After settling in Juno Beach in 1990, Goldie once again built a vibrant community of friends and continued enjoying life to the fullest. She could paint, she could sculpt, and, boy, could she talk! She lived a full, accomplished, and joyful life surrounded by family and friends.
Goldie was preceded in death by her daughter, Renee, and her husbands, John, Bill, and Frank. She is survived by her son, Jan Sidum, and his wife, Frankie.
The family extends special thanks to Goldie’s devoted companions — Marian, Wanda, Lisa, and Bernie — for their love, kindness, and unwavering devotion.
