Marilyn Marsh 89, of Palm Beach Gardens passed away peacefully in Hospice Care at St. Mary's Hospital Wednesday February 18, 2015. Her husband, well known Broadcaster Ray Marsh, preceded her in death in 2006. Marilyn was surrounded by her three children Barry Grant Marsh, Randy Fredric Marsh and Susan Marsh Carta at her passing. She was the consummate stage mom who succeeded in encouraging her husband Ray and their three children to enter the broadcasting field. Marilyn's love for her family was only eclipsed by her love for The Lord who she was more than willing to talk about to anyone she came in contact. She attended the weekly Tuesday morning Bible Study at Faith Lutheran Church in North Palm Beach. Marilyn proudly wore a button that read "I'm a witness for Jesus" while volunteering her time at the Hospice Thrift Store on Donald Ross Road in Juno Beach. Many of her friends and neighbors knew her as the "Cookie Lady". Among her many talents was baking delicious cookies, made from a special recipe. They were well received by all. Born Marilyn West on May 31, 1925 in Columbus Ohio, she attended West High School where she was on the cheerleading squad. It was in Columbus Ohio that Marilyn met Ray Marsh and after six weeks of courtship the couple eloped and we're married. Marilyn Marsh is survived by her three children, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 754 U.S. Highway 1, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. A funeral service will be held at Howard-Quattlebaum on Friday, February 27 at 12:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum. The family is requesting donations be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County in the name of Marilyn Marsh in lieu of flowers.
