

Michael Joseph Arnone, of North Palm Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2015. Michael was born and raised in New London, CT. Michael received his Mechanical Engineering Degree from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. Michael’s professional career started with Hamilton Standard in Hartford, Connecticut but he soon felt the pull of warmer climates in Florida and he transferred to Pratt & Whitney where he finished his professional career, retiring from Pratt in 1987. Michael loved golf and he volunteered with the PGA, working many tournaments held at PGA National. Michael also volunteered as an Airport Ambassador at PBI and he donated his time working with the Knights of Columbus, especially on Bingo night. Michael and his family were founding members of St. Clare parish and he served as an usher at Sunday mass for many years.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Nona and daughter Michelle Carpenter (Kevin) of Palm Beach Gardens. He is also survived by his sister Angela Kelly of Newington, CT; and his aunts, Louise Arnone and Antoinette Arnone of CT, along with nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his daughter Sandra Fulbright (Jerry) and his son Richard Arnone (Bonnie). Michael has seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 754 U.S. Highway 1, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Wednesday, May 27 at 11:00am at St. Clare Catholic Church, 821 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach, FL 33408. Interment will follow the Mass at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s honor to St. Clare Catholic Church.
