Paul was born in Dayton Ohio to parents Mathew and Katherine and a sister Maryann Woodall. Paul graduated from Miami of Ohio Business College after serving in the Korean War as a Sergeant in the US Army and during his Military service he was awarded the Bronze Star. Upon returning from Military service he embarked on a 30yr career with IBM and then proceeded upon retirement to become the Chief Operating Officer at the PGA of America for nearly 20yrs. Paul’s love of the game golf gave him an opportunity to help grow the PGA of America by building new relationships within the golf industry and was involved numerous PGA sponsored tournaments and Ryder Cups.
Paul is survived by his wife Frances Dafoe Bogin and his sons Paul Jr (Liz) from Jupiter Fl. and Kevin (Carol) from Reno NV, Step Sons Blake Melnick (Sharon) and Adrian Dafoe. He also is survived by 6 grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on April 28th at 10:30 am at St. Peters Catholic Church on Indian Creek Parkway in Jupiter Fl.
