Robert “Bob” James Svenconis Sr. of Boylston, MA, Juno Beach, FL and Middleton, NH, died on February 27, 2025 after a six year battle with cancer. Bob was born on February 12, 1953 in Lawrence, MA to Julia and Adolph Svenconis. He was a proud three-sport athlete at Central Catholic High School until suffering a career ending thigh injury during a football game. Bob went on to attend the University of New Hampshire, where he served as an RA and was a member of the TKE fraternity.
Bob graduated in 1973 and began his career as a social worker in the inner-city of Boston. Several years later, he decided to take a risk by changing careers and purchasing Curry Copy & Printing Center in Framingham, MA which he ran successfully for over 25 years.
Bob met his wife Denise in 1986 on a blind-date and was married in Adams, MA in 1989. They made their home in Boylston, MA where they welcomed two children, Kristen and RJ. Bob was an avid Boston sports fan, lover of classic rock, technology aficionado, and a self-taught “Mr. Fix-It”.
Bob leaves behind his wife, Denise (“George”) Svenconis, daughter, Kristen McElhinney (Jarrod) of Wilton, CT, son, Robert (“RJ”) James Svenconis Jr. of New York, NY, and his grandson Hugh James McElhinney. Bob also leaves behind a sister and two brothers.
