Sherry Dee Hickinbotham

Sherry was born in Chicago, Illinois, on October 3, 1946, to Robert and Margaret Scott. She graduated from Thornton Township High School in 1964. On November 25, 1967, Sherry married the love of her life, Ron Hickinbotham. Sherry and Ron moved to South Florida in 1978 where they enjoyed spending time on and near the water with family and friends. Shortly after moving, Sherry began her career in accounting. After working in multiple locations, Sherry retired from the Clerk of Circuit Court of Palm Beach County in 2005. Sherry and Ron enjoyed 52 years of marriage together until Ron’s passing in 2020.

Sherry wanted nothing more than to meet her great-granddaughter, Haisley Bennett Carroll, who was born on May 3, 2025. Her wish came true when she was able to meet Haisley, in person, on May 31, 2025.

Sherry is survived by her daughters Dawn Hollandsworth (Tom) and Tracey Hall; grandchildren: Thomas Hollandsworth (Karli), Dane Hall, Ashley Carroll (Colton), Taylor Hickinbotham; great-granddaughter Haisley Carroll; in addition to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and sisters-in-laws.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents Margaret and Robert Scott.

We will be celebrating Sherry’s life on June 27th from 11-2pm at the Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral, Cremation and Event Center, 754 US Highway 1, North Palm Beach, FL 33408.

Memorial donations may be made to Trustbridge Hospice or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
