Shirley Ann Hutcherson Small

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Shirley was born on July 15, 1942 in Alexander City, Tallapoosa County, Alabama the fifth daughter to Sherley Lovedy Hutcherson and Lowell S. Hutcherson. She moved to South Florida and married Howard James Small on April 15, 1967. They were married for 46 years until his death.

She was an avid bowler, gardener, and loved to take her children fishing. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Palm Beach Gardens where she dearly enjoyed her quilt group and completing hundreds of charity quilts and projects to benefit others. She was also a member of the Palm Beach County Quilters Guild.

Shirley was preceded in death by her sisters: Francis Bishop, Helen Oliver and LaRue Spates. She is survived by her sisters: Virginia Dunning of Alexander City, AL, Linda Dykes of Alexander City, AL. Her children: June Michelle Small of West Palm, FL, John Robert Small and wife Laura Small of Rowlett, TX. Grandchildren Payton Olivia Small of Austin, TX and Nolan James Small. Great grandchild Isla Mae Elsenpeter, stepdaughters Bobbee Barnes and Donna Small. She also has many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
