Carey Mobius, born and raised in West Vancouver, passed away on January 7, 2026, at the age of 61.
Carey lived life fully and was family first in everything he did. He loved time spent with the people he cared about most and found joy in meaningful experiences, whether that meant a great round of golf, discovering an unforgettable restaurant, or setting off on a new adventure through travel. He had a natural curiosity, a warm sense of humor, and a genuine appreciation for good conversation, great food, and connection.
Carey was known for his kindness, generosity, and steady presence. He had an easy way of making people feel comfortable, valued, and welcome, and he believed deeply in showing up for others in both good times and challenging moments. Wherever life took him, he built strong relationships and remained grateful for the community he surrounded himself with.
Carey was proud of the life he built and the people he built it with. Garibaldi Glass was a meaningful part of his journey, a company he helped grow with care, integrity, and long-term vision, always grounded in his belief that people come first.
Above all, what mattered most to Carey were the people in his life. He believed that when you treat people well and lead with care, everything else has a way of falling into place.
Carey will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Tina; his children, Nicole and Jonathan; his dog, Stanley; his siblings, Carmen (Ray), Chris (Lynn), and Craig (Teddie); and his nephew and niece, Max and Chanelle.
In lieu of flowers, if you would like to remember Carey, the family invites you to make a donation to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation and/or Heart & Stroke Foundation in his name.
