I've heard so many stories from Bernd about his amazing friendship with Dave in the early 1980s and was privileged to meet and get to know Dave during our many visits to Vancouver over the years since then.  He was such a vigorous personality.  Our condolences to the family who were everything to Dave - Christian, Martin, Hazel and the grandchildren.

My condolences to the entire Charlton family.  We only met a few brief times over the years, generally whilst trick or treating with your grandchildren & my son.  Lots of wonderful conversations that I always looked forward to.  Rest In Peace, David.  And for his family...my thoughts and condolences are with you all.
