Don is survived by his brothers Rick (Kim) and Michael (Cheryl) and his beloved nieces Katie (Graham, Tia, Ty) and Sandy (Kris, Maveryk, Cruz). Don will be remembered for his loyal service as a mechanic starting at the family run businesses at Dollarton and Parkway Chevron and then Deep Cove Garage.
Don later joined Dick Irwin Chevrolet, now known as Carter Chevrolet. Losing his parents at a young age, the 3 brothers formed a very special and tight bond that was cherished and never taken for granted. Don loved Bud Lite, boating, cars and our family cabin up Indian Arm; he also found his happy place at Burrard Yacht Club.
Don always took an interest in taking care of our boat the 'Nextime' and he took a keen interest in helping others with their boat issues. Don was always smiling and skipped through life with his own happy go lucky style. Don will be missed, as will Rick and Michael's regular catch-up calls and their special brother-to-brother chats and get togethers. Don will be missed by not ever forgotten and his famed B & a B will live on. A gathering to celebrate Don will be held Thursday October 13th from 1pm to 4pm at the Seymour Golf & Country Club, 3723 Mount Seymour Parkway, North Vancouver. Open to all family & friends - we hope to see you there.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.firstmemorialnorthvancouver.com for the NEX family.
