It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Gay Denham. Born in Vancouver on August 3, 1958, to Jane (nee Watson) MacKinnon, Donna passed away suddenly in North Vancouver on September 2, 2024, at the age of 66.
She is survived by her daughters, Lee-Ann and Devon, and her beloved granddaughter, Cali, born to her late daughter Chelsie who passed away in 2021. Donna found immense joy in raising her incredible girls and being surrounded by family, including her treasured sister Pam, brother-in-law Brian, nephew Chris, niece Jacqui, and great-nephew Magnus. She cherished watching her girls grow, especially Cali, finding happiness in their every move and milestone.
Remembered for her hilarious stories and infectious laugh, Donna lit up every room with her magnetic personality. Her bright eyes, dimples, warm smile, and charm left a lasting impression on all who met her. Donna had an incredible gift for making time for anyone, always eager to listen and learn about their lives. Her genuine curiosity and ability to connect with people turned strangers into friends. As a natural cheerleader, she made everyone feel special and valued. Donna could always be found on a field, court, diamond, or anywhere her girls were.
Her passion for technology, organization, and systems led her to a fulfilling career as an entrepreneur. For 30 years, Donna owned and operated Support Services Unlimited, delivering expert services to not-for-profits and professional associations locally and nationwide. With unwavering dedication, she constantly sought new technologies and innovations to provide the highest quality service. Her high standards and commitment to excellence made a significant impact in the not-for-profit world. Armed with intelligence, resilience, and fearless optimism, she navigated all challenges to support those who needed it most. Her courage and bravery remain unmatched, and her legacy in the field will endure for years to come.
As a Leo, she was truly lionhearted. Amidst some of life's biggest challenges, she displayed courage, conviction, selflessness, generosity, and most importantly, love. She always prioritized her girls' sports and activities to ensure they had a strong sense of community. Donna was a lifelong learner with a quest for deeper understanding. Her wisdom and spirit touched everyone who knew her. She will never be forgotten and will live on in all of us who loved her.
