Edward White June 13, 1943 - March 3, 2018 It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Ed is loved and missed by his wife Heather-Anne; children David (Roxanne) and Beth (Scott); grandchildren Caitlin, Brendan, and Lola; brothers Robert (Lily), Gordon (Kathy) and Garth; and many more family and friends.
Ed was born, raised and lived his life in North Vancouver and couldn't seem to go anywhere without bumping into someone he knew. His gruff exterior was well honed by decades spent hustling lumber, but everyone (except him) knew that he was really a big softy. Ed always offered to help people out when he could, and not a day went by when he wouldn't fondly remember the countless kids that he proudly volunteered to coach in soccer and baseball for many years.
The family would like to extend an invitation to all those who knew Ed to attend a celebration of life on Wednesday March 14th from 2:00 -5:00 at Hollyburn Country Club, 950 Cross Creek Road, West Vancouver. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke foundation.
