It is with deep love and sadness that we the family of Freda Marie McNab announces her peaceful passing at the age of 99 in Burnaby, BC.
Born in Ste. Anne, Manitoba, Freda lived a long, faith-filled life devoted to her family, her community, and her Catholic faith. She was a dedicated parishioner and proudly served as a Eucharistic Minister, attending church regularly for as long as she was able.
Freda was predeceased by her loving husband Marcel; her son Richard; granddaughter Robynn; grandson-in-law Lawrence Frame; son-in-law Gary Wright; grandson-in-law Chris Wilken; two infant children, Raymond and Patricia; her parents Veronique and Michel Hupe; her brothers Roland, Gerard, Armand, Rheal; and her sister Stella.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Barbara (Andy), Sharon, Garry (Gael), Daughter-in-law JoAnne, Gordon (Laura Lee), Holly (Wayne), Michelle (Robert), Kenneth (Barbara), and Keith (Barbara); 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her youngest brother Robert (Helen) and many nieces and nephews.
Freda’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and faith. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her devotion to family, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued and well fed.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Metzak & Dr. Rembez and the staff of St. Michael’s Care Center for her excellent care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC in Freda’s memory.
