Herb was born in Vancouver in 1933 and is survived by his wife Louise and his four children Brenda (Glen), Barbara (Josh), Beverley (Corey), and Ken. Herb is also survived by his seven grandchildren Joni, Molly, Brita, Toby, Myriah, Jonah, and Ajah. As well, Herb had many nieces, nephews, and friends from far and wide.
A railway man through and through, Herb spent a better part of his life working night shifts for the Great Northern (Burlington Northern) Railway. Herb will always be remembered for his loving spirit, his sense of humour, his stories, love of music and all of his 'Herbisms'.
