It's been 5 years jay, we all miss you. Your mark on this earth has been left in the longing we all feel to reconnect with you, and in the love your family and friends still express for you.

4 years is far too much time on this earth without Jayson.  

A man who brightened lives, and had so much more living to do.  When things get hard I think about Jay.  I think about his family. I think about his friends. And I think about this cursed timeline we live in, without him.  

But I also think about the warm memories. About the love that Jayson had for his friends and family. A love that burned so blindingly bright, it shone for all to see.  I still feel that love today. 

I thank the universe for my time with Jayson (and James, Brittany, Debbie and Barry) growing up and how it helped shape the person I am today.

It’s a lie, Jay.  Time does not heal all wounds.  Whenever I had a bad day, you would say, “Give it a day, Mom.”  Well, I‘ve given it 1,095 days, and I still can’t get my breath.  I still can’t stop my tears.  And I still miss everything about you…your laugh, your smile, your voice, your hugs, your smell…Every. single. Day.  I love you, Jay.  Forever and Always, Mom.  ❤️

The earth keeps turning, the sun keeps rising, and the emptiness grows.  Memories of Jay’s smile (with the diamond shining in his tooth), his laughter over his latest prank, and the twinkle in his eye that always gave away his involvement in the latest caper, can’t fill the void in our hearts and in our lives, but they do bring a moment of reprieve from the pain.  Jay was loving, fun, devoted and fearless.  He was the best.  He was the best son, brother, uncle, cousin, grandson, nephew, and friend.  And so, he is missed.  Forever and always. ❤️

Today is good day where something bad happened. It’s my birthday, which I think is good, but two years ago in this day I lost something… something I can never get back… Jayson. Jayson was one of my first memorable students at Riverside Secondary. He made a lasting impression on me and we kept in touch and built a friendship over the years.  As happy as I am on my birthday, a little part of my weeps whenever I think of what I’ve lost. So today is a reminder that we never really know how much time we have, so it’s a good idea to let those around us know how you feel about each other. Those few seconds can mean so much to that person and create a memory that could stay with them for a life time. So take a few minutes today to reach out and say something positive, I think Jayson would appreciate that like he appreciated so many of you! 


I had the good fortune of teaching Jason at Riverside Secondary. It took some time to build a rapport, but he was unforgettable in his fun-loving ways. He had a great sense of humor and whenever I think about him I always remember his laugh! He was good to people that were good to him and I saw many great features in Jason. He was incredibly smart and passionate and loved life. He loved a good prank, and valued friendship. He was one of the first students I ever taught at Riverside and one of the most memorable. He will be forever loved and remembered for the way he helped others. God bless him. 

I still remember the times has saved all our assets and the real deal down 4 whatever a true  and humble g and leader to all us misfits Jay I'm so sad seeing you've passed on and I will always be thankful and extremely grateful that you let me be your friend  my love and respect goes out to you and your dear sweet family and forever you will be my brother love Kyle thanks for train ing me up right and there will never be a better hustler than you .... with style and grace and a smile on his face ... 



I love, and miss, you more than you could possibly know.  Everyday is a challenge to keep from drowning in tears, with only my memories of you to keep me going.
Thoughts of your epic pranks, mischievous smile and contagious laughter always bring a smile to my face.   I love you, Forever and always, and I am grateful that you chose me to be your mom. ❤️

I met Jason when I was 5 he was 4. We grew up in North Van together and shared many silly mischievous moments as kids. Don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard! He always had a smile and something funny to say.  So many good memories I’ll never forget him! 

Jay and I were real close for a very long time before our paths led us apart. I respected and looked up to him a great deal. All of us did. I'm met Jay when I was in grade 7. He was a couple years older and right off the bat I knew I wanted to be his friend. He had that thing that makes people special. Jay had lots of heart and pride. He also had a sense of style and a huge set of balls! Jay is the only person I know that could pull off a full brown suede outfit. Suede shirt, suede pants, suede shoes and a suede jacket, the guy had style. Jay had a huge heart and was very generous. Jay has bailed me out of jail and has went on the stand to testify on my behalf in court. That was Jay " down 4 whatever" Dimmock. He was the life of the party. A real stand up guy. He was the glue that held a lot of people together. Jay showed me the game and taught me how to play it. I'll never forget all the time spent in his parents garage in Poco having a blast. The Dimmock family was always so good to me. My heart goes out to them. Jay was like a brother to me and I will love and miss him forever.

Jason was one of my students at Riverside Secondary and he was always full of laughter and smiles. There are so many stories from my first few years and all of them make me smile. His humor, smiles and laughter will be missed. 

I met Jason at work. I was his supervisor and was performing a random site inspection. I introduced myself and I could tell he was a little standoff-ish. He was able to get off the road so I could train him. As we started talking about some roles he’s worked in the company I could tell he was starting to open up with me a little more. After I trained him he was extremely appreciative and even texted him dispatcher explaining how he normally feels anxious when his supervisors come by but I made him feel very relaxed and he was happy I came. He really made me feel like I was doing a good job and he was always so happy when I seen him after. I felt a special bond with Jason. I will greatly miss him. rest in paradise xo

It is hard to put into words what Jayson and his family mean to me.  Growing up, my family spent a lot of time with the Dimmocks.  Dinners, birthdays, holidays and camping trips, i have so many wonderful memories of them.   Jayson and his brother Jaymes were my absolute favorite people growing up. I always remember being SO excited whenever I got a chance to see them.  I learned so much from Jaymes and Jayson about music, movies, sports and life, and am so thankful for all the great times we had together.  Whether we were riding a giant log slowly across a lake, riding bikes to get slurpees, playing video games in one of our basements , or getting into trouble sneaking onto golf courses at Cultis lake, we always had a blast.

Jayson and I were very close in age, he was a couple of months my senior.  Even though he wasn't very much older than me, I always looked up to him, I wanted to be as cool as Jayson was (spoiler, I never was, but that didn't matter to him - he always treated me like a brother just the same.)

As we grew up Jayson and I would see each other from time to time, and he was always outgoing with me, introducing me to friends, and always making sure to include me in everything and anything I wanted to be included in. He was protective and loyal, and a great friend. For that I will always be grateful. 

I hadent seen jayson for probably close to a decade, and I ran into him at his grandmothers about 6 weeks ago. I pulled over and we gave each other a big hug (I don't think either of us thought about covid, it was just automatic) and caught up for a few minutes. It was amazing to see him. In light of everything that has happened since, I am infinitely grateful that I was lucky enough to reconnect with Jayson,  even just for a moment. 

I want to extend my love to Debbie, Barry, Jaymes and Britney, who always treated me like a member of their family.

Rest in peace Jay, I will never forget you or your infectious laugh. Until we meet again brother.  Xx

I am so sorry for your loss, I remember Jason as a youngster and he was so full of life, Unfortunately I haven't been a part of his life for some years,  but I often think about him. Hopefully he is in a better place now.
