Joan loved the ocean and often talked about her family outings to White Rock when she was a girl. Joan studied RN nursing after high school. Bob and Joan were true entrepreneurs and always had a venture on the go. From raising Labrador Retrievers, starting and running a sewing store, and earning her English literary degree, Joan was an achiever - she went on to run the Abbotsford Family Services Day Care program for several years.
Bob and Joan were world travelers with many countries under their belt and a keen desire to see more.
Joan’s intense struggle with Alzheimer’s has been very long and tumultuous; a vicious disease that robs both the afflicted and their family of their dreams and memories. Joan’s family will celebrate her life in a closed private ceremony to share the many stories of how Mom and Grandma impacted and enriched our lives forever.
