Joanne Graham

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joanne Graham (nee Baxter), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Joanne passed away peacefully at the age of 90 in West Vancouver, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and kindness.

Born at Beckford Lodge in Hamilton, Scotland, Joanne was raised in Hamilton before marrying the love of her life Campbell, in 1961. Together, they built a beautiful life, first in Dumfries, where they welcomed their first son Alan, followed by Jim. In 1967, they embarked on a new adventure, moving their family to Canada and growing their family with the arrival of Stuart and Jean.

Joanne’s faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devoted member of St. Andrew’s and St. Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, where she found deep joy in her church family. She was endlessly proud of her children - Alan with Lynda, Jim with Raymond, Stuart with Andrea & Jean with Jim. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother to Brianna & Sherydan, Justin (great grandma to his children Tahlia and Alistair), Kaitlyn, Lindsay & Jessie, and Makena, Sawyer, Saxon & Lachlan.

Joanne dedicated many years to serving others through her work at Lions Gate Hospital. She also served as a committed member of her church’s Women’s Guild. She will always be remembered for her unwavering strength, compassion, boundless love, values she instilled in her family and all who knew her.

She will deeply be missed by her children, their partners, her grandchildren, her younger sister Jean, brother-in-law, Tom, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends in both Canada and Scotland.

Joanne now rests peacefully at home with those who have gone before her, including, her beloved husband Campbell, her parents, and her three brothers. She is reunited with her one true love and the family and friends who welcomed her with open arms.

Please join us in celebrating Joanne’s life and the many legacies she leaves behind on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 2 pm at Boel Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver.

Joanne’s love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
