Keith passed away peacefully at home after a long and challenging battle with Multiple System Atrophy. He faced each debilitating phase with courage, strength, dignity, and hope. He was there for us and we were there for him, and in that, it was a journey of love. His smiling eyes showed us the way.
Keith will be forever missed by his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Leslee, son David, daughter Jennifer (Mathew), grandsons, Eric and Owen, sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews.
Keith moved with his family from England to North Vancouver in 1968 where he completed his Grade 12 at Argyle Secondary School. Keith began his career as a pipefitter by trade and he continued to further his training to fully service the fire protection industry. He was proud of his achievements as a service and project manager and retired from Troy Life and Fire Safety in 2013.
Keith was a family man first, who married Leslee, the love of his life, in 1975. They made a life in North Vancouver where they raised two children and met many lifelong friends.
Keith could usually be found working on his house or truck, or volunteering his free time coaching soccer or catching pitches behind the plate. He believed in fair play and was always there to cheer on and support his children in whatever they chose to do. He was a big fan of English soccer, the Tottenham Hotspurs, the Canucks, the Blue Jays, and laughed wholeheartedly at Sports Bloopers.
Keith was generous of his time to family and friends and was a master at troubleshooting, researching, and fixing just about anything. “If Papa can’t fix it, nobody can!”
Keith loved RVing and finding the next great spot to call home for a few days and once retired, he and Les explored the West Coast in their travelling home. Keith also enjoyed visiting warm places like Hawaii and Mexico and was able to travel home to England in 2014 and reminisce about his childhood, bringing to life the many memories he’d shared with Leslee over the years.
A service for Keith will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 2pm at the Boal Chapel in North Vancouver.
