With family at her side Kellie passed peacefully. She was born in Juskatla, B.C. making her the first Caucasian woman born that far west in Canada. Kellie was predeceased by her bother Ken Hyndman. She is survived by Howard her lifelong partner and husband of 60 years, daughter Haidee Landry (Jim), son John Stephenson (Dena), grandchildren Jessica, Breanne, Colton, Liam and Rosie, and 3 great grandchildren.
Kellie was a lifelong resident of North Vancouver growing up in Deep Cove. She worked for BC.Tel. as a teenager until retirement when the company became Telus. She was an active, generous person devoted to family, always full of love, sharing and caring. She lived a life full of family, strong friendships and adventure. Kellie and Howard were avid sailors travelling around the world on a yacht they built in their backyard. She visited 31 countries and sailed nearly 34,000 nautical miles on that 9-year voyage and was a longtime member of the Burrard Yacht Club. We'd like to express our appreciation to the Cedarview Lodge and staff for their kind and gentle care of our loved one.
There'll be a casual gathering to celebrate Kellie's life on Monday July 15, 2024 11am-2pm at 179-216 St Langley, BC.
In Lieu of flowers a donation to the Alzheimer's Society of BC is appreciated
